On Saturday, January 17, 2026, our data center service provider nLighten will be performing power maintenance at its Frankfurt location between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The power maintenance is a follow-up to the maintenance performed on December 13, 2025.
Details about the maintenance by nLighten:
"We need to switch the power supply for the existing RPPs (fuse boxes) in order to carry out work on the low-voltage switchboards.
During the switchover, only one power feed will be available, which will result in a reduction in redundancy.
In order to carry out the work, the power supply must be shut down for 6 hours."
The following measures will be taken by IP-Projects to prevent disruptions:
- Visual inspection of all server systems with redundant power supplies (ensuring that the power supplies are correctly connected to the power feeds according to the six-eyes principle)
- Installation of ATS switches on servers that only have one power connection (ensuring redundant power supply for MS servers)
Expected disruptions
- Restart of individual Sophos hardware firewall gateways in redundant firewall setups, as these only have simple power supplies that are connected to different power feeds.
During maintenance, we will have technicians on standby on site to restore services as quickly as possible in the event of a malfunction. Although deactivating individual power feeds is a high risk, it should not lead to any disruption in the availability of our services.
