At our largest PoP location, FRA11-InterXion, one last Juniper switch is still in use for carrier connections. The switchover of carriers to our new routers and the replacement of Juniper components within our network, as already announced on our blog, is therefore nearing completion.

As a further step, we will be switching additional Internet carriers to other network hardware this coming Thursday between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. During this time, we will briefly shut down the sessions to the carriers. By deactivating the BGP sessions, the traffic will be distributed to other carriers so that no interruption of network connections is to be expected. The switchover will take place step by step and not simultaneously.

The following Internet service providers will be temporarily affected by the switch:

- TATA Telekom
- Deutsche Telekom AG
- Google PNI
- AMS-IX
- Orange über Meerfarbig als Carrier
- LINX über Meerfarbig als Carrier
- Hetzner PNI über Meerfarbig als Carrier
- Meerfarbig PNI


We are also planning to bring a direct PNI with Hetzner into operation at 100 Gigabit/s. 

In a further step, we will dismantle 2x 100 Gigabit/s to the anti-DDoS provider Aurologics – the sessions to this filter provider have already been deactivated so that no more traffic exchange takes place here. We have already signed contracts with a new service provider as a pre-filter.
